We hired David as our architect for a major renovation/expansion of our 1970s home. David came highly recommended to us by friends and it was a pleasure to work with him. He had creative, practical ideas and made effective use of space in our relatively small home. His design incorporated passive solar, and brought light and warmth into our previously dark home.

David listened to our ideas and needs, and created a design that was beautiful, practical and within our budget. His worked well with our contractor, his fees were reasonable and his schedule was flexible, working evenings and weekends as needed. We highly recommend him.

We loved working with David on our house remodel. He had many creative ideas and listened carefully to our desires. Architecture is more than just a job for him, but a passion. When I said I loved barns, we got plans for open beams in our living room. When he saw we wanted natural materials, we researched rocks and rammed earth together. When we changed our plans at the last minute, he saw our vision, and dove in to complete the redesign. So nice to be part of the creative experience with him.

I was searching for mid century home in the hollywood hills and was so thrilled to have found my dream home. The house that I purchased was built in 1957 and just had been completely renovated by David Levitt of Levitt Architects. He did such an amazing job of updating the property yet keep the original feel of a mid century style. Every aspect of the home was redone. All new systems, floors, kitchen, baths, pool landscaping, etc. I would highly recommend David for any project where it be a new design or rehab, he has impeccable taste.

David Levitt has been (and continues to be) very good to work with. He solicits input and weighs it carefully, and protects me from myself when required. He has also retained and worked with other professionals on my behalf when my time did not permit. (This includes dealing with the City of Boulder, CO, soils and geological engineers, structural engineers and the general contractor.)

He has always been reasonable, respectful, creative and responsive. When the City of Boulder required that the roof come off my garage (due to new solar fence regulations) David suggested converting the top of the 25 year old garage into a deck surrounded by green roof and gardens, situated to offer a view of the flat irons. David also minds the budget. I’m very, very pleased with his work.

David designed a dining/library addition, den and kitchen renovation on my 1963 house. It is beautiful and where we do most of our living. We went through very few redesigns of the original plans because he actually heard every request I made and incorporated them. I was shocked, he listened so closely! Instead of a house I thought about selling, I have a house I am so proud to show off and even more proud to live in. David is the only architect I would consider working with.

It was a pleasure working with David Levitt. Building a house is a big project. David was there from beginning to end and guided us through the process. We have been in our beautiful home for the past 15 years. I hope everyone who builds a home is as happy as we have been.
We had looked for a home in Ann Arbor for several years without success. When we began the project we had David look at several properties that began the process. We worked together to develop an open floor plan to naturally promote awareness and connection with our two young daughters. We shared thoughts about design and relationship to the environment. We talked about grand plans, but then what we realistically could afford. The discussions led to a design that integrated our desires into a unique and elegant design, full of light, balance, interconnection within the house and with nature around us. When it snows you can see the snow falling in all directions!
Having been in the home for 15 years, our home has had the test of time. It continues to be a house that brings family together and creates a loving home. I am thankful on a daily basis for my Levitt designed home.
